Recently we were playing questions as a family about what each of us would like, movies, food, hobbies, among others; one of them was, what would be the super power you would like to have? Mind reading, flying, eternity, invisible, were some of the answers. And what super power would you like to have?

There is a super power that is within everyone's reach, but it is not just any super power, it comes with nine powers and they are real.

Recently we remembered the passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. Before his departure he announced that a super power would come from God to accompany us:

"If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you" Jn 14:15-17

More than one will say, "What good is this to me?

We all long to live with peace, joy, patience, strength, these are super powers that come only if we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law" Galatians 5:22-23

Imagine having each of these; read them again and reflect on the one you would most like to have and be able to use when you need it most.

The fruits are not like the gifts, which are given according to each one. No! The fruits are part of the Holy Spirit and will be manifested in each one of those who believe in Christ, renounce their passions and allow the Holy Spirit to live in them. That is why it says in the above passage "...keep my commandments...".

Ask the Lord that He with His Spirit may dwell in you, that each of the fruits of His Spirit may manifest in your life and that you may enjoy the powers that can only come from God.
