My wife and I have been together for almost 18 years. This time has been one of mutual growth, with falls, ups and downs, mistakes, successes, sadness and joys, many joys. The exciting part of our journey is all that we have learned together, in a good way and sometimes not that good.
Three years ago during a seminar for couples, I told my wife that I would love to have been a better husband, that I would not have hurt her so much and give her so much sadness in so many moments. Aware of what I had done, I expected any answer but the one she told me, "If that had been the case, where would be our testimony of what God has done in our lives." God had rebuilt our marriage, and better yet, we are happier than before. At that moment we realized that we had to put our testimony at the service of all those who needed it and we created the seminar "Marriage, the way of holiness".
"And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it" Isaiah 35:8.
The difficulties that marriage brings forms our character and strengthen our relationship with our partner. Holiness is achieved by walking it.
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" Matthew 18:20.
On a long road there will be sunny days, rainy days, storms, mud, gardens full of flowers, weeds and more. The beauty of marriage is that you will walk it with your partner and with God.
Seek holiness with your partners, allow yourselves to achieve holiness together overcoming all the difficulties that come your way and live the joy of saying "We made it, thank you God".
God bless you!
