On our tour we met some amazing people and one of them was Claribel Toirac from the Interamerican Christian Bookstore in Miami. Here is the location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XjsLY2PTjYVud1pJ8
Claribel is a calm woman, she knows the word of God, slow to speak with a Cuban accent. She tells us that it has been hard to hold on, but God has kept her there for a long time and will continue to do so as long as necessary. But the enemy is close by, a fortune teller; he already has one place and is going for two more. She had four, now she is only in one.
Fortune tellers or psychic who read tarot, cards, cigarettes, promise to attract the love of your life, money and have been around since ancient times. Pharaohs used fortune tellers in their courts, as described in the passage in Genesis 41, where Joseph interprets dreams that the magicians could not. This passage historically dates from the 14th century B.C. to the present day, 3,400 years ago.
Human beings have sought some way to reveal what is coming, and if what tells them it is not to their liking, with some kind of magic look forward to change it.
Seen with human eyes, the difference is that the fortune teller tells you that l, with some things you do you will get what you want; God says that if you give your life to Him, He will give you everything. The price for the fortune teller is money, the price for God is your life. Unfortunately we have money and we don't want to change our way of life.
Claribel knows she does not have it easy. Many come to her door asking for a voice of encouragement in the face of a difficult moment they are going through. The answer for them is what the Lord says: patience, tolerance, love, forgiveness, correct your path, the results will come but in due time. Many go out the door and go to the fortune teller because they want immediate results.
Momentary peace and happiness vs. permanent peace and happiness.
Walking with God requires bending the desires of your mind. Our experiences feed our brain through our senses; there is a database of experiences, our brain will always want the ones that give it the most satisfaction. That's why to lose weight you have to make a mental change not a stomach diet.
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" Ezekiel 36:26.
From the original Hebrew translation, the word heart alludes to the brain. The heart is a muscle, the real heart is our brain, that is the one that needs to be changed and God knows how to do it.
If you live in Miami I invite you to visit Claribel, call her in advance(+1 305-434-6602). Talk and share some time with her, and if possible, buy something, this way you will support her to continue with her business which is really a ministry, to take the word of God to everyone who passes by the store door.
God bless you!
