New

When someone tells you that they are going to give you something "new," you imagine something freshly taken out of its original packaging or something that has never been used. One of the meanings of "New" is: Just beginning or beginning anew and regarded as better than what went before.

Etymologically, the word "new" comes from *novus*, which means: recently created, unprecedented.

"So if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17

What are we renewed for?

From the moment we are conceived, we live in constant renewal. A fetus is not the same from one day to the other, and when we are born, we are not the same from one day to the other, we change intellectually, physically, and/or spiritually. But renewal or adaptation has a purpose, do you know what it is? Do you live to satisfy whom? Yourself, others, or God?

"For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ." Galatians 1:10

"For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God." John 12:43

By trying to please others, we have missed out on God's favor and His promises. The promises are the result of living under God's Law, living under His grace. The promises are to receive peace, joy, happiness, tranquility, a firm marriage, a strong relationship with your children, prosperity, among many other things.

That is why Christ Jesus had to come, to show us the way to receive everything that God has for us again; and He will return for those who have obeyed Him.

Do you want to live fully? Renew your life by following Jesus' instructions, return to the fold, to His flock, listen to Him, read the Word, meditate on it; and if you find something difficult, pray to the Lord to show you what you should do and renew your heart so you can follow Him to the letter. He will do it!

Do not limit yourself, come out of that butterfly cocoon in which you find yourself and be truly the person you are meant to be, the best version of yourself, the version for which you were created by our Father God.

God bless you!
