I met Shaolin Christina at the Redeemed in Christ Foundation when they were receiving women; today they only have men in two locations, a beautiful work where the Lord works the miracle of rebuilding lives.  During the year that Shaolin Christina was in the foundation, I was able to witness how the Lord was healing and transforming her physical and spiritual life.  It was not easy but the Lord can do anything.  After more than a year in the process of cleansing herself of heroin that damages her body, mind and spirit, she went out to restart her life again.  He stayed well for a few months but unfortunately he relapsed again.

Many of us were looking for her and trying to get her admitted again, but unfortunately we did not succeed.  Andres Pantano, director of the Redeemed in Christ Foundation and Jeffrey, director of the Sara.C Foundation, did everything they could to get her back, but unfortunately the first thing that takes away the drugs is the will.

Over the years we see how many lose the battle even though they make their process, but return to the same environment, old friendships and dysfunctional family, environment make the emotional mix that leads them back to use again. 100% of the cases that finish their process and move away from God relapse.

We pray and pray permanently for those we do not see again; we hope that in the chocolate sharing at Calvary we will see them again, hug them and tell them to come back, but more than a year has passed and we have not found them.

I always ask God to surprise me with a great gift, and what better than this December 25, I received a message from Jeffrey telling me that Shaolin Christina had decided to return.  She arrived at Redeemed's door and was transferred to Sara.C. Our happiness could not have been greater.

When I saw her, I hugged her so tightly that between laughs she told me "You have strength pastor", I immediately lowered my intensity and told her that I loved her very much and I was happy to see her, to see her alive.

Shaolin Cristina is a beautiful daughter of God who, due to adverse situations in her home and social environment, was introduced to drugs and her addiction to them.  Today I have the privilege to walk with her again and accompany her in her physical and spiritual recovery with Jesus.

"I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist; turn to me, for I have redeemed you" Isaiah 44:22.

All of Andres' experience, all of Jeffrey's love, mine and my wife's desire for Shaolin Christina to return, are not comparable to the power of Jesus to bring her back; only the love and mercy of the Lord brought her back alive so that, with everyone's help, she can rise again. Only Christ alone has the power to redeem, He is the only one with all the power to make all things new.
