Did he have to die?

Did he really have to die? Historians, theologians, great thinkers have studied and reflected about it. What was the reason why Christ had to die if he taught so many things while he was alive? How many more things could he have taught if he had lived longer?

Christ said and repeated "I love you", so his death was out of love for us. What did he want to teach us when he died? What message did he want to leave us?

Death is synonymous of suffering, pain, sorrow, end; for these and more reasons, the human being has fled and avoided at all costs that this happens in his life or to those around him. But Christ was not referring to this death, to physical death, but to a more difficult one, to the death of who we are.

Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God" John 3:3

Jesus CLEARLY marked for us the path we have to walk, that's why He walked it first. Leaving vices, bad habits, negative behaviors, bad temper, unforgiveness, insulting and more habits that we know we must leave, will cost us the same as Christ: suffering, pain, anguish, shame, sorrow; with the promise that "WE WILL SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD".

The kingdom of God on earth is to have peace in your heart, patience, kindness, happiness, joy, there is no more fear, there is only love. But we have to die to the old self to receive it; vain are our prayers if we do not.

Live the death of Christ, die to your old self and live a new life, live fully what God has prepared, the Kingdom of God in YOU.

God bless you!
