How scary

In my country, Colombia, we are in presidential elections. Everyone is wondering, what will happen if one or the other wins?, that nothing will improve if we don't choose the candidate of their preference! This contest between candidates has brought more division among friends and family than the pandemic itself.

Who can guarantee that it will be beneficial for me? Who can say that it won't be good for me? We can't know, and that uncertainty is what really bothers us, we want to be certain that my plan is going to work.

Phobias and fears have been present in the life of man throughout his life. Should I buy a gun, a life insurance? Must stop eating this or that because it can give me cancer? Should I get vaccinated or not and take two, three or four doses? We are afraid of everything.

With these words I do not mean that we start acting as if there is no tomorrow, no; but we must review if what we do, we do it out of FEAR or LOVE.

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear: for fear hath punishment in itself. Therefore he who fears has not been made perfect in love" 1 John 4:18

"I have to go home early or my wife will get angry", "I better not say anything to my husband because he will get angry", "I have to go to church or God will punish me for not doing it" "I have to vote for this candidate or it will be very bad for us". Let's review our decisions and thoughts and identify what guides us, fear or love.

How can we live in God's love? Believing in Him, believing in His promises, believing that His word is full of life, that He does not lie, that He will always be there for me.

Stick to God, live in His love, live under His shadow; live free and calm that He is with you and that no matter what situation you are in or what president wins, you will always be protected by our Father; His presidency does not end, it is eternal.

God bless you!
