A great friend of mine who lives in Ecuador, Rafael Avilés, publishes a very interesting blog every week.
When I was thinking of doing this blog I asked Rafa for a lot of advice and help, I didn't know anything about blogging. Full of patience, as a teacher to student, he guided me all the way to materialize it. When I set up the first blog, I was immensely happy and grateful. Rafa reviewed it, congratulated me and told me: "It is important that there is coherence between what you say and what you do, otherwise, you lose strength in the message".
Before knowing about Christ, when I only knew the Bible and some phrases, I spoke about David, Goliath, the prodigal son, Christ died like this and said this or that. I said a lot, but in practice I was doing the opposite or did not do it at all.
"There for we are Christ's ambassadors" 2 Corinthians 5:20.
Little by little I realized that it was NOT enough to know the Bible if it was not put into practice. We talk about the love of God, so let's love everyone; we talk about God giving us everything we need, so let's not look for things outside our home; we ask the Lord for things, but on the other hand we wish evil to our neighbor.
"For the word of God is alive and active" Hebrews 4:12
God left us his word not only to learn it but to live it. Every word the Bible says is the guide to live a plenish life.
The invitation today is that we live coherently on what we believe. Let us allow the word of God to live in us, to manifest itself in our daily lives and to reach other people who need it.
God bless you!
