Toolbox

Every house has a toolbox.

When I was a kid, my dad had a light green metal toolbox. Hammer, saw, screwdriver, pliers, wrench, wrenches, etc. Big problem for the one who took something from there and didn't put it back. Today, I have a larger plastic toolbox that holds more tools.

When something gets damaged in the house, you go and look in the toolbox for something useful to fix it. But, do we use all the tools we have?

When I was a kid, there was a big, red hardback Bible in my house, with beautiful illustrations, but it was not used; when problems arose, no one ran out to open it to look for a useful tool in it.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for every good work" 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

When I started reading it I realized that it was full of useful tools for day to day living. As I trusted what it says there and put it into practice, I realized that it fixed things in my life that I had tried to fix without success, because I was using the wrong tools.

In the toolbox there is one for every need, likewise in the bible there are tools for every situation in your life: financial, emotional, sentimental, love, psychological, work, wisdom, relationships, in short, for everything. It is like having a hardware store of life at home.

"To understand wisdom and doctrine, To know prudent reason, To receive the counsel of prudence, Justice, judgment, and equity; To give understanding to the simple, And understanding and discretion to the young. A wise man heareth, and increaseth knowledge; and he that hath understanding getteth counsel, To understand proverbs and sayings, The words of the wise, and their deep sayings. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: the foolish despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:2-7

As everybody knows what's in the toolbox, everybody must read the bible to know what tools God has given us for life.

Open the bible, read it, you don't know where to start, I recommend the psalms, proverbs and the gospels. And as you get to know and use each tool you find there, you will see how many things in your life will be solved or improved, and you will teach others the tools you have learned to use.

God bless you!
